Cypress PSoC ExperienceAbout PSoC™The PSoC (Programmable System on a Chip) family from Cypress Semiconductor offers tremendous flexibility in a small package, including both analog and digital modules within the same device. Cypress provides excellent design tools for PSoC, able both to facilitate rapid proof of concept modeling and breadboarding and to continue development into a product. We are proud to have earned certification from Cypress as CYPros Consultants. Our familiarity with the tools and the chips, our contacts within Cypress, and our in-depth design experience work together to fill in the critical details for your product. Here are a couple of our recent PSoC designs: Capacitive Proximity SensorThis ongoing project employs a PSoC device to perform proximity sensing using Cypress' CapSense™ technology. We have included IIR filtering in the design as well as an I2C interface and various discrete digital inputs and outputs. USB Keyboard with USB-Powered Stepper MotorThe PSoC in this design performs keyboard scanning, provides the USB interface to a PC, and controls a stepper motor. In this unique keyboard, designed to prevent repetitive motion injury, the motor periodically repositions the left and right halves of the keyboard. Since USB cannot supply sufficient power for the motor, the design includes Super Caps to accumulate energy between moves. An H-bridge motor driver completes the hardware design. |
